A few things to do while you’re in town…
Activity Ideas
Walk, Bike, Kayak, or Paddleboard the Charles River Esplanade
Whether on the Cambridge side for skyline views or the Boston side for it’s many duck filled ponds, walking the river is a can’t miss and very close to the Back Bay hotels. Rent kayaks or paddle boards from Community Boating, get a beer at the Owl’s Nest beer garden, or just go for a nice stroll by the river!
North End & Union Street
Transport yourself to Europe in the city of Boston! North End is Boston’s Little Italy, tiny streets full of tiny Italian restaurants and cafes – you really can’t go wrong with any of them! Down an alley, get an Italian sub from Bricco Salumeria. On Union Street just across the greenway, you’ll find cobblestone streets with some of Boston’s oldest restaurants and bars.
Newbury Street & Comm Ave
Just down the street from the Back Bay Hotels are Newbury Street – Boston’s premier shopping district – and Commonwealth Avenue Mall, a tree lined park between the brownstone’s of back bay.
Seaport Restaurants
If you’re in town Saturday, here are some great options to hit before 7:30pm welcome drinks at Cisco Seaport!
Legal Seafoods Harborside
Classic New England seafood with dockside dining and a roofdeck (limited menu on the roof but great for drinks, apps, & views) – start with the Clam Chowder or Lobster Bisk.
Bar Taco
One of the few reasonably priced food stops in the Seaport. Simple, get a bunch of tacos, the chips and dip are great, and of course, margaritas.
Marcellino’s
Best outdoor bar/high top waterside skyline views in the Seaport and great drinks. Mediterranean menu, pretty high end but worth the splurge. Inside has speakeasy vibes. Requires reservations.
Moxies Seaport
Contemporary bar and restaurant – American / Canadian staples meets a bit of everything. Second level has outdoor waterview seats and another bar. Fun spot, good vibes.
Lolita Fort Point
Best Mexican restaurant in the area with water side (channel-side) dining and outdoor bar. Inside is more vibey-dark. Worth it for the $4 nachos with 3 dips alone (off menu). And spicy margaritas of course.
Tuscan Kitchen or Serafina
Big Italian restaurants in the center of seaport. Great food, can’t go wrong. No issues getting a table or bar seat (usually).
Trillium Brewery Fort Point
Brewery hop! Trillium is more craft beer forward than Cisco – IPAs, Sours, that kind of thing, but its the best brewery in the city. Also has sneaky good food and a cool roofdeck.
Yankee Lobster
No frills, boat to table lobster rolls next to the historic fish pier (and Harpoon Brewery). Grab and go or a small sit down area.
Barking Crab
Classic tourist trap (for a reason). Great seafood on a dock under a tent by the water. Crab roll is actually good, but they have lobster too.

Fenway Park
The Sox aren’t home this weekend unfortunately but you can still tour the place! Or play golf! (yes, really): learn more
Faneuil Hall
Center of Historic downtown, Full of shops and food stalls. Next to the Aquarium and City Hall. It’s the only place you can drink a Sam Adams, while looking at Sam Adams.
Navy Yard
In Charlestown’s Navy Yard, you’ll find 2 boats of note: USS Constitution, the world’s oldest active naval vessel, and Jeremy’s. Don’t miss Pier 6 for drinks and views
The Freedom Trail
Follow the red brick road and take a walk through the history of Boston – on your own or find a guide. 2.5 miles in all, hop on and off. Learn more
